- Grimmsnarl – Lv. 81 – Dark/Fairy
- Incineroar – Lv. 81 – Fire/Dark
- Hydrapple – Lv. 82 – Grass/Dragon
How to beat Kieran in the Indigo Disk
Kieran has a diverse team of Pokemon, but he’s far from unbeatable. The first thing to take note of is that two of his Pokemon are carrying items that can force you to waste a turn:
- Politoed – Wacan Berry: takes half damage from a single Electric-type move.
- Grimmsnarl – Focus Sash: Can’t be knocked out in one hit.
Thankfully, he doesn’t heal his Pokemon with items, so you don’t have to worry about dealing with any surprise Full Restores.
The BB Academy Championship fight is another double battle, which makes things more complicated. Many of Kieran’s Pokemon have moves that counter types they’re weak to, and you can quickly find your party decimated when you thought you had the type advantage. Fairy, Fighting, and Rock Pokemon are good against most of his team, and that’s an excellent place to start when putting together your team.
More critical than type match-ups are levels. You’ll want to make sure your team is Lv. 80+ before taking him on. You can get away with fighting him with Level 75 Pokemon if you have a decent strategy in mind, but he’s pretty tough otherwise.
Once you beat Kieran in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Indigo Disk, he’ll freak out and give you a Master Ball for your trouble. This fight marks the end of the first half of the DLC and segues into the beginning of the second.
