Super Mario RPG Booster Family Portrait Puzzle Solution

Super Mario RPG Booster Picture Puzzle Solution: Booster Family Portrait Order

In Super Mario RPG, you’ll find a puzzle in Booster Tower where you’ll have to choose the pictures of Booster’s family in the correct order. You’ll get to see the Booster family portraits from oldest to youngest when you first walk into the tower. However, unless you thought to memorize them, then it’s an annoying walk back to the first floor. Fortunately, you can just check below for the Booster family portrait puzzle solution in Super Mario RPG remake.

Super Mario RPG Booster Family Portrait Puzzle Order

Super Mario RPG Booster Family Oldest Youngest

The solution to the Booster picture puzzle is simple in Super Mario RPG if you take note of the proper order when you enter the tower. However, most of us didn’t anticipate that the Booster family portraits would be part of a later puzzle and just treated them as a curiosity.

After climbing a few floors, you’ll find a hallway containing the same Booster family portraits, but out of order. A nearby note tells you:

“Take a look at Booster’s family portraits in order from the oldest to the youngest.”

If you get a choice wrong, you’ll have to face an enemy, and the puzzle resets. So, normally, you could use trial and error, which would lead to potentially unwanted fights, or return to the first floor and note the correct order there.

Super Mario RPG Booster Family Portrait Puzzle Order Solution

Fortunately, if you’re reading this guide, you don’t have to do either. Here’s the correct order for the Booster family portrait puzzle in Super Mario RPG:

4, 5, 3, 6, 2, 1

The solution is the same in the original and the remake, so you can use this order in either.

Note that this puzzle is entirely optional. However, completing it gets you the Elder Key, which allows you to open the nearby door. Inside, you’ll find a Chain Chomp, which Bowser will free, and it becomes his first weapon.
