My Time at Sandrock Children Have a Baby

My Time at Sandrock Children: How to Have a Baby and Does it Grow Up?

With the launch of the full version, My Time at Sandrock now lets you have a child. Unfortunately, the patch notes only document this as “added children feature,” which leaves you on your own when it comes to figuring out how to have kids. Furthermore, the game doesn’t explain whether your baby will grow up or stay in its crib forever. Luckily, we’ve got some answers for you about how kids work in My Time at Sandrock below.

How to have a kid in My Time at Sandrock

My Time at Sandrock Baby Crib

To have a baby at My Time at Sandrock, you must be married. Having kids out of wedlock isn’t allowed here, so pick a suitor (or suitette) and get hitched first. Once your romance is in bloom and you’ve tied the knot, you can begin your first steps towards having a child.

The first thing to do when trying to have a kid is to grab the recipe for the Baby’s Crib. Before you can have a child, your property must contain at least the Baby’s Crib and an adult bed of any type. Once this requirement is met, you can move to the next step.

Now, you must ensure your relationship level with your spouse is high enough. Once you’re there, a pacifier icon will appear when you interact with them, and you can tell them you’re ready to have a child. Alternatively, you may get a reverse proposal to have a kid from your partner, which you can accept or decline.

Once you and your partner have agreed to have a kid, you’ll experience one of two options:

  • Gay: You’ll adopt a kid.
  • Straight: The woman will experience pregnancy.

Regardless of the scenario, it takes two weeks in-game for the process to complete. At the conclusion of the two weeks, you’ll have a new baby!

Do babies grow up in My Time at Sandrock?

Fortunately, once you have a baby in My Time at Sandrock, you can look forward to it growing up. Here are the times kids stay in each stage of childhood:

  • Newborn: 2 weeks
  • Crawling baby: 4 weeks
  • Toddler: 5 weeks
  • Schoolchild: Indefinitely

So far, it doesn’t seem like kids continue to grow past the schoolchild stage. So, for now, there’s no way to see your baby grow all the way into a teen or adult.
