If Modern Warfare 3 is installing shaders every time you play, it can be irritating. How fast shaders install depends on your PC. If MW3 installs shaders each time you play, it’s usually due to corrupted tiles. As such, there are a few methods you can try to fix the issue:

  • Verify game files
  • Uninstall and reinstall the game

Verify game files

Sometimes, fixing this problem is as easy as verifying your game files. To do so:

Steam:

  1. Open the Steam client and select the “Library” tab.
  2. Select the game name in the left column and right-click on it.
  3. Choose “Properties.”
  4. Then select “Installed Files.”
  5. Choose “Check the integrity of the game files.”
  6. Don’t open any other apps until the process is finished.

Battle.net

  1. In the top row of the Battle.net client, click the game’s icon.
  2. Next to the Play button, select the cogwheel.
  3. Select “Scan and Repair.”
  4. Press “Begin Scan.”
  5. Await its conclusion before utilizing any other applications.

Uninstall and reinstall the game

If verifying your Modern Warfare 3 files doesn’t work. Then, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the game. Unfortunately, due to the size of MW3, this is an arduous task for many players.
