AC Mirage OWO: What is OWO in Assassin's Creed Mirage?

AC Mirage OWO Setting: What is OWO in the Assassin’s Creed Mirage Settings?

The Assassin’s Creed Mirage OWO setting sticks out among the other options in the menu. It has not been in the series before and does not explain itself in the actual menu; it only has the prompt “Link My OWO App.” Here’s what the AC Mirage OWO setting is and who it is for.

What is the AC Mirage OWO setting?

AC Mirage OWO: What is OWO in Assassin's Creed Mirage?

The AC Mirage OWO setting pertains to a special peripheral made by, fittingly, OWO. It is a type of vest players wear in the real world that is meant to simulate the actions in the game. Turning this setting on in Mirage merely enables turns the haptic feedback on for those who own that vest.

The types of sensations players will depend on what they are doing. OWO notes that players will “feel the consequences” of playing poorly. It does not specifically list out what Mirage players will feel, but the vest generally supports a range of different impacts like abdominal wounds, stab wounds, being punched, collision, wind, and freefalling (and many more), all of which would make sense for an Assassin’s Creed game. It even comes with an app where players can calibrate their settings.

However, it is an expensive peripheral, as it comes in at €539, meaning many will not be able to play Assassin’s Creed Mirage with this fancy new tech. Ubisoft did explain that it has a long-term partnership with OWO, so it is very likely that some of its upcoming games will also support this unique, tech-driven shirt.

A lot of the games that currently support OWO’s vest are VR titles, a list that includes Half-Life: Alyx, Superhot VR, Arizona Sunshine, Pistol Whip, Beat Saber, Until You Fall, and Bonelab, just to name a few. Other non-VR games like Valorant, The Forest, Among Us, Fortnite, League of Legends, Apex Legends, Halo Infinite, and Rocket League also support OWO.
