Nexon’s The First Descendant beta is popular across all platforms, but players want to know if their progress will carry over to the full official release. The crossplay beta for the game across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms has daily log-in rewards with various gifts for skins in the mailbox. Players can also increase their mastery rank by completing missions and grind out materials to unlock all of the descendants on the roster. Doing both of these tasks requires a lot of time, so it’s understandable that fans want to know if their time is being well spent. Here’s whether your progress in the beta for The First Descendant will carry over to the official game.
Will The First Descendant beta progress carry over?
No. Like the beta for many MMO games, any progress you have made in The First Descendant beta will be deleted after it ends.
This is to ensure an even playing field for all players when the game officially launches hopefully by early 2024. You will, though, gain a lot of experience on how all the mechanics, weapon modules, mastery ranks, and general progression work before the game is out.
That said, Nexon will be giving participants in the beta extra rewards once the official release drops. Those who participate in the beta will receive 1 special emote and 3 skins for the default Descendants (Viessa, Lepic, and Ajax). In addition, players who are able to complete the Void Intercept Battle on hard mode will obtain 1 special spawn effect, while those who are able to get any Descendant to Level 20 will receive a bear-shaped back trophy. It’s essentially a backpack that looks like a polar bear cub opening a can of soda.
On top of that, users who fill out the Crossplay Open Beta survey after the beta is over will receive a pigtails head skin for Bunny called “Trendsetter”.
To receive these rewards, you will need to login with the same platform account that you used during the beta launch during the game’s official release.
