Diablo 4 Patch Rollback Update 1.1 Remove

Diablo 4 Patch Rollback: Will Blizzard Be Removing Update 1.1?

A Diablo 4 patch rollback for the controversial update 1.1 has been highly requested by fans. The considerable amount of nerfs to all of the popular builds surrounding vulnerable damage and crit damage have impacted every class and reduced their overall attack power. Blizzard held an emergency Campfire Chat on Friday, July 21, so that the Diablo 4 Game Director Joe Shely and Associate Game Director Joe Piepiora could address the considerable negative feedback they have received from the update. Here’s whether Blizzard will be removing update 1.1 at all in response to the nerfs.

Will Diablo 4 patch 1.1 be removed or have a rollback?

No, Blizzard developers have not made any mention of removing or rolling back Patch 1.1.

Considering that the Campfire Chat was the opportunity for the developers to announce a rollback to update 1.1, it’s highly unlikely that a patch rollback will be taking place. This is despite Shely and Piepoira admitting that they know reducing player power is “not fun” and that they don’t plan on doing a patch with so many nerfs ever again. For future updates, Shely says that they wish to pair buffs and nerfs together in the same patch more frequently so they can avoid the controversy over these types of meta changes more smoothly.

That said, much of the conversation during the livestream was on providing some information on patch 1.1.1 that would be arriving in a couple of weeks (so about early August). So while it doesn’t look like patch 1.1.0 will be removed, they will be making corrections to it. So far, they have fixed a bug on Helltide aberrant cinders and will eventually remove the level requirements for World Tier 3 and 4.

As for specifics, they do plan on improving Sorcerer survivability and lifting up aspects for the Barbarian and Sorcerer. They also plan on increasing mob density in Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides, adding a stash tab, and increasing the stack size for elixirs to 99. They also mentioned the ability to switch to a different class build more easily.
