Diablo 4 Can't Move Dodge Bug Fix Solution

Diablo 4 Can’t Move After Dodge Bug: How to Fix Character Getting Stuck

A bug where characters in Diablo 4 can’t move after using the dodge continues to be an issue for some players. After dodging, the character will remain stuck for a few seconds, effectively remaining in place without being able to get out of the way. In the early game, this bug isn’t too much of a problem due to potions and weaker enemies, but this glitch becomes especially severe in the late game when players are dealing with higher World Tier difficulties, helltides, and Nightmare Dungeons. Here’s what you can do to fix issues with your character getting stuck after dodging in Diablo 4.

How to fix Diablo 4 can’t move after dodge bug

If you find that you can’t move after dodging in Diablo 4, we recommend either switching away from skills that cause this to happen or equipping boots that give you multiple dodge charges.

Pouring through various users who report having this issue, it occurs most frequently with skills that require channeling of some sort. In particularly, the Druid’s Lighting Storm, the Barbarian’s Whirlwind, the Rogue’s Barrage, and the Necromancer’s Decompose. Activating these skills and then performing a dodge can sometimes interfere with the recovery animation.

This causes the character to stand still for a few seconds, which can easily kill a player in high-tier Nightmare Dungeons. This glitch has also reportedly ended more than several hardcore characters, and Blizzard has yet to address the issue despite multiple players reporting on the problem.

For the boots, we recommend a pair with a general boost that gives you extra dodge charges, optimally three. Some players say that doing a second dodge after getting stuck is a solid workaround for the issue until it’s fixed. There’s also some boots that will lower the cooldown time for the dodge with every attack. These can work as well, but it’s less effective in getting around this bug.
