Diablo 4 Mithering Descent Bug Fix

Diablo 4 Mithering Descent Dungeon Bug Fix: How to Complete Scosglen Region

An annoying Diablo 4 Mithering Descent dungeon bug is frustrating players trying to complete all of the side quests in the Scosglen region. Even after finishing the dungeon, it still appears highlighted in blue for many players, indicating that it has not been completed for some reason. Then heading back into the dungeon, players are met with a Sodden Effigy that seemingly can’t be defeated because it’s invincible to damage. Due to this, players are pointing to this glitch as the reason why they are stuck at 46/47 side quests completed in Scosglen. Here’s whether there is a fix or workaround for this Mithering Quest bug in Diablo 4.

How to fix Diablo 4 Mithering Descent bug

To fix the Diablo 4 Mithering Descent bug, you can attempt to complete the dungeon over again and make sure that you listen to the full speech of the NPC before attacking any enemies.

This solution was provided by a user in the official Blizzard forums for Diablo 4, who states that the dungeon was able to be cleared after a lot of repeated attempts.

That said, you don’t actually have to complete this dungeon again in order to reach full completion for Scosglen. If you find that you are still at 45 or 46 out of 47 side quests for the region, there may be some that you’re missing because they are triggered by items.

Several players on the Diablo 4 Reddit report that they have finished 47/47 quests despite experiencing this glitch with the Mithering Descent dungeon. Some side quests to check is one triggered by finding a bottle along the coastline of Mariner’s Refuge and another that can be found by searching corpses on the Abandoned Coast.

However, like other dungeon-based bugs in the game, this bug is still impacting players despite it being reported close to the game’s launch. Blizzard has a lot of glitches to fix at the moment, so it may take a while before it gets to repairing this issue with a patch or hotfix.
