Diablo 4: How to Get Whispering Keys & Find Silent Chest Key Location

One of the treasures that players can encounter in Diablo 4 is the Silent Chest. These chests have a chance to drop high-tier loot, such as rare or unique items, as well as gold, but you will need to find a special item called a Whispering Key to open them. Therefore, our Diablo 4 guide explains how to find and use Whispering Keys in Diablo 4.

Whispering Keys are the only items that can open Silent Chests. They can be bought from a vendor called the Purveyor of Curiosities. The Purveyor of Curiosities sells unidentified items for gold, as well as Whispering Keys for a different currency called Murmuring Obols.

Murmuring Obols are purple coins that can be obtained by completing events around Sanctuary. One Whispering Key costs 20 Murmuring Obols, so you will need to complete at least one event to buy one.

You can buy as many Whispering Keys as you want from the Purveyor of Curiosities, as they have unlimited stock. You can also stockpile them in your inventory for future use.

Where to find Diablo 4 Whispering Keys’ location

As mentioned earlier, Whispering Keys can be bought from The Purveyor of Curiosities vendor in any town hub area, such as Kyovashad in the Fractured Peaks.

After obtaining a Whispering Key, you need to find a Silent Chest and interact with it. You will be prompted to use a Whispering Key if you have one in your inventory. If you don’t have one, you will need to go back to town and buy one from the Purveyor of Curiosities.

Once you use a Whispering Key, the Silent Chest will open, and you can loot the items.

That’s everything you need to know about obtaining Whispering Keys in Diablo 4. While you’re here, check out how to fix Diablo 4 Nightmare Sigils bugs and Fury Against Fate bug glitch.
