Diablo 4 Purified Quicksilver Bug Glitch Witch of the Wastes Quest

Diablo 4 Purified Quicksilver Bug: How to Fix Witch of the Wastes Quest Glitch

A Diablo 4 Purified Quicksilver bug is frustrating players trying to complete the Act 5, “Witch of the Wastes” quest. The glitch stems from the vial of Purified Quicksilver, which you’re supposed to give to Dunan, but the item disappears. Trying to place the vial on the table doesn’t do anything. And then there’s the issue of trying to pick up the vial again, but it just drops on the floor automatically. Fortunately, we have a bug fix that you can try as a workaround that will allow you to complete the “Place the Vial of Purified Quicksilver on the table” objective and move on with the end of the main campaign.

How to place Purified Quicksilver on table in Diablo 4

To place the vial of Purified Quicksilver on the table in Diablo 4, you need to carry the vial from where it drops in Dismal Foothills in Hawezar back to Dunan in the Ruined Tower without using a town portal.

If you attempt to leave the area with the vial of quicksilver by using a town portal, it will simply drop on the floor as you try to teleport out. We also had the quicksilver drop just trying to leave the area on a horse, but that was after we attempted to get back with the town portal. So at that point, the glitch might have triggered something strange.

Luckily, we were able to quit out of the game and log back in. Not a lot of progress was lost due to the auto-save system, so we were able to fix the problem quickly. All we did was take the vial and use a mount to manually bring it back to Dunan.

We’re not sure why Blizzard made this main quest objective this finicky, considering that there are other fetch quests that allow you to use a town portal. There’s also no warning in this Witch of the Wastes mission that you can’t use a town portal. Unfortunately, this is just one of many bugs that is preventing progress in the game.
