Diablo 4 Pets Murloc Pet

Diablo 4 Pets: How Do I Get My Murloc Pet?

Several Diablo 4 pets are available in the game, with the Murloc pet in particular being hawked as a pre-order bonus. You can obtain the wolf pet if you’ve played any of the previous betas for the game. The skeletal mage, skeletal warrior, and golem can become minions for the necromancer, while the druid can gain a spirit animal beast that includes a deer, snake, wolf, or eagle. However, the Murloc pet seems to be missing as an option, so we’re here to explain what’s going on with it.

Where is the Murloc pet in Diablo 4?

The Murloc pet is actually not for Diablo 4, but is a pre-order bonus for Diablo 3. In fact, both the Inarius Wings and Inarius Murloc pet are unlockable for Diablo 3.

You can find both items in the Diablo Shop menu under the Collection tab. The wings will be under the Wings sub-tab while the Murloc pet is under the Pets sub-tab.

The source of the confusion likely stems from some of the vague descriptions for the special crossover items that come with a pre-order of the game. For instance, looking at the official entries for Diablo 4 on the PlayStation Store only says the words “cross-game items” as part of pre-ordering the Standard, Digital Deluxe, or Ultimate editions.

Reading the fine print does make it clear that the Inarius Wings and Inarius Murloc pet are specifically for Diablo 3. But we figure that many players rushing to purchase the game might skip over this detail.

It’s also important to note that the Inarius Wings and Inarius Murloc pet are only unlocked for the platform you purchase Diablo 4 on. That is, if you pre-purchase Diablo 4 on PS5, then the bonus wings and pet will only be available for Diablo 3 on PS5. (In this instance, it’s possible that it may unlock for PS4 as well since it’s within the same console family, but we recommend not risking it.)
