Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Master Collection

Is Peace Walker in the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection?

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker isn’t part of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection. However, that doesn’t mean that Konami won’t be re-releasing the game at some point in the future. The promo for Master Collection gives us a big clue that more classic Metal Gear games will be ported.

Does Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection include Peace Walker?

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Peace Walker

Fans might be wondering why Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker isn’t part of the collection. After all, it was released alongside the other games in previous compilations. Don’t count it out yet, though. If you notice, the PlayStation Showcase announcement is for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 1.

It’s highly likely that we’ll see Peace Walker released in a future volume of the Master Collection. Other potential candidates to release alongside it are Portable Ops and Portable Ops Plus. Perhaps we’ll even see Konami restore the multiplayer functionality of these games, in which case releasing them together as their own volume would make sense.

If we’re really likely, we might even get some of the side games and spin-offs on current platforms. The Metal Gear Acid titles and Ghost Babel are ripe for a re-release, and it’d be great to enjoy the whole franchise without relying on older hardware. The only one we’re not holding our breath for is MGS4, but anything is possible.
