Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Utsushok Shrine: Long or Wide Puzzle Solution

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Utsushok shrine with the “Long or Wide” puzzle is one of several ball-themed challenges. The solution involves slapping balls with a device to move them forward and tests your ability to arrange and attach objects. Located east of the Fural Plain at coordinates 0669, -3358, 0072, this TotK shrine has multiple sections and features three separate puzzles that require some precision with the handy Ultrahand ability. Here’s how to solve the Utsushok Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Utsushok Shrine Puzzle Solution

Since the Utsushok Shrine puzzle solution has several parts, here’s a breakdown of how to solve the shrine in multiple steps:

  1. The first room is pretty easy, and only requires that you use the Ultrahand on the handle of the swinging device. Pull it far back enough so that when you release the handle, it slaps the ball into the bowl switch.
  2. For the second room, you’ll need to attach the cube to the handle, so that it has enough mass to knock the ball up the track. Pull back the handle again like in the first room and release to smack the ball into the hole.
  3. The third room first has you unlock the minecart. This is done by attaching a plank longways so that it can reach the ball. Pull back once again and release to send the ball onto the switch that releases the minecart.

  1. Reattach the plank so that it’s horizontal to the platform, allowing it to hit the minecart. With a good enough push, it will sent the cart to the sigil. Before you slap it the cart, though, hop into it.
  2. An optional chest with a Sneaky Elixir can be grabbed with the Ultrahand about halfway along the track toward the sigil. So after the cart is slapped, be ready with the Ultrahand to snatch it as you speed past.
  3. Touch the sigil to gain the Light of Blessing and complete the quest.

If you have trouble grabbing the optional chest, you can also cast Recall on the cart to slow it down and make it easier to grab it with the Ultrahand.
