Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Giant Horse Location: Can You Tame the Big Horse

You can get a giant horse in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and finding its location isn’t that hard. Several NPCs point you toward the Giant White Stallion, and it’s not even that challenging to tame it. So, if you want to add the biggest horse in the game to your stable, read on below.

Where to find the giant horse in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Giant Horse Location Map

The giant horse is found in Faron in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It’s in a valley that’s roughly southeast of Highland Stable. Luckily, it’s straightforward to find. To do so:

  • Travel to Highland Stable.
  • Follow the road south and then head east when it forks.
  • Keep going east across Horse God Bridge.
  • Follow the road until it ends in a clearing.

The giant horse will be standing where the road ends. You can’t miss it. Additionally, two NPCs on the road along the way’ll point you in the right direction. Those who have played Breath of the Wild might recognize this location as where Horse God Malanya appeared in that game.

Once you find the giant horse in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to tame it. Fortunately, it doesn’t startle too easily, which makes sneaking up and mounting it pretty easy. Once on it, you must tap L as usual to soothe it. Be warned; this horse takes more stamina than usual to tame. You’ll burn at least a meter and a half or so before it gives up. So, if you haven’t upgraded your stamina past that point, make sure to have some items to help you recover lest the horse bucks you.

When you’ve tamed the horse, you can take it to the nearest stable and register it. Since this is a unique mount, you can’t change its mane, saddle, or bridle. You’ll notice it has some odd stats as well. It has five stars in strength but only two in speed. Additionally, it has no stamina or pull stats because it refuses to run and can’t equip a towing harness.

So, while the giant horse is cool, it has very little utility. It definitely doesn’t beat out Epona when it comes to equine transportation.
