Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Warm Clothes Location Get Cold Resistant Gear

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Warm Clothes Location: Where to Get Cold-Resistant Gear

You’ll be looking for warm clothes soon into Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Shortly after Link awakes, you’ll want cold-resistant gear as you move into the snowy southern part of the Great Sky Island. However, unlike in Breath of the Wild, you’ll have to brave the cold for a while before you get some clothing to stop you from getting cold.

Where to get cold-resistant clothing in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The first piece of warm clothing you can get in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is very close to the third shrine. Near the shrine is a tree with a hole carved through it. Inside, you’ll find a chest containing the Archaic Warm Greaves. These will give you one bar of cold resistance and will keep you warm for the rest of your time on Great Sky Island.

However, you’ll soon find yourself in colder climes where one bar of cold resistance just won’t cut it. Your next opportunity to pick up a piece of warm clothing will likely be at the Rito Village in the Hedra region. At the store there, you can pick up the following pieces of gear which provide protection against the cold:

  • Snowquill Headdress
  • Snowquill Tunic
  • Snowquill Trousers

Note that pairing the headdress or tunic with your Archaic Warm Greeves in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will max out your cold resistance. However, completing the Snowquill set is worth it as you gain the Unfreezable trait when all three pieces are equipped.
