Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Link’s Awakening Outfit: How to Get the Hero of Awakening Set

It’s possible to acquire the Link’s Awakening outfit in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The Hero of Awakening set is new to this game and wasn’t available in Breath of the Wild. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to get it during your adventures in Hyrule. To unlock it, you’ll need something you can’t find in-game.

To unlock the Hero of Awakening set in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to scan the 8-Bit Link Amiibo. Doing so will give you around a 10-20% chance of obtaining one of three pieces of the Hero of Awakening set:

  • Cap of Awakening
  • Tunic of Awakening
  • Trousers of Awakening

Each piece of this iconic armor set starts with a three in its defense stat. However, you can upgrade it if you find the Great Fairies all the way up to 20 per item.

If you have the amiibo, unlocking the Link’s Awakening outfit in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is theoretically easy. However, you can only scan an amiibo once every 24 hours, which means it might be a lengthy process. Fortunately, there’s a way around this, but it’s a bit irritating to pull off.
