Warzone 2 Tempered Plate Carrier

Warzone 2 How To Get Tempered Plate Carrier: Location and What It Does

Warzone 2 Season 3 introduces Tempered Plate Carriers, which dramatically increase plate efficiency. They make keeping your armor up much easier and are now one of the game’s most valuable pieces of gear. We’ll explain how Tempered Plate Carriers work and how to get them below.

How does the Tempered Plate Carrier work in Warzone 2?

In Warzone 2, the Tempered Plate Carrier is an upgrade over the standard Armor Plate Carrier, offering improved plate efficiency. With this item, your armor will now consist of two bars instead of three. This means reaching maximum armor requires only two plates. It doesn’t add to your max armor points, which remain at 150, but each plate heals 75 armor points when the Tempered Plate Carrier is equipped instead of 50.

Where to find Tempered Plate Carriers in WZ2

Tempered Plate Carriers are considered high-tier loot in Warzone 2, so you’ll find them in locations that spawn the best gear. Clearing Strongholds, for example, is a great way to find them. Unfortunately, there’s no guaranteed spawn for Tempered Plate Carriers, and you’re at the mercy of RNG. You might luck into one as soon as you drop or not encounter one for a whole match.

One thing’s for sure: you should grab one as soon as you see it. Restoring your armor to full with two plates is incredibly useful and affects your placement. Remember, the quicker you can get your armor back up, the quicker you can get back to hunting other players.
