Resident Evil 4 Remake S+ Rank Requirements: Time Limits and Tips

Getting an S+ Rank in Resident Evil 4 remake is a great way to show mastery of the game. The requirements to obtain an S+ Rank differ between difficulty levels but are generally the same as getting an S Rank, but with further restrictions. We’ll tell you how to get an S+ on Assisted, Standard, Hardcore, and Professional below.

Resident Evil 4 remake S+ Rank requirements

To get an S+ Rank in Resident Evil 4 remake, you must beat the game within the following time limits:

  • Assisted: 04:00:00
  • Standard: 05:00:00
  • Hardcore: 05:30:00
  • Professional: 05:30:00

In addition, an S+ Rank can only be obtained on a fresh playthrough. New Game Plus saves are automatically disqualified.

Those playing on Professional are also restricted to 15 saves or less. Also, be prepared to work on this quite a bit. Getting S+ in RE4 remake is considerably harder than it is in previous games.

Tips to get S+ Rank in Resident Evil 4 remake on Professional difficulty

To beat Resident Evil 4 remake in less than five hours and thirty minutes on Professional difficulty, you’re going to have to hustle.

Here are a few tips to help you get S+ Rank:

  • Practice perfect parries and staggering enemies before starting.
  • The only weapon you should buy is the rifle and the scope. The starting handgun and first shotgun are powerful enough, especially with their exclusive upgrades.
  • Save all other Pesetas for weapon upgrades and the Rocket Launcher.
  • Save the Rocket Launcher for later game bosses (Salazar, Verdugo, Krauser, Saddler).
  • Thin out enemies in areas that require a repeat visit.
  • Run or stealth by enemies in locations you’ll only visit once.
  • Make sure to get treasures that are in your path, but avoid those that require a detour.
  • Most requests aren’t worth the lost time it takes to complete them.
