Will Call of Duty: Mobile shut down for Warzone Mobile?

In part of a report, Microsoft has stated that “CoD: Mobile is expected to be phased out over time (outside of China) with the launch of Warzone Mobile.”

This was noted over by Twitter by CharlieIntel, and is pulled directly from a report regarding the Microsoft Activision acquisition ahead of a decision on the acquisition from the UK CMA on April 25 of this year.

This means that once Warzone Mobile launches later in 2023, the game will slowly start to take over CoD: Mobile, with CoD: Mobile being abandoned. This will likely disappoint fans of CoD: Mobile who were hoping to continue playing the title for many years to come, and will have to move over to the newer game.

In other gaming news, Starfield is being released in September, and Xbox has a showcase coming up in June.
