To unlock the Inventory secret job in Octopath Traveler 2, you need to head to the Brightlands and visit Eastern New Delsta Highroad. Unlike the regular secondary jobs, which have guilds, the Inventor is unlocked by finding Arkar’s house.

To get to Arkar the Inventor’s house, follow these directions:

  1. Leave New Delsta through the east gate to reach the Eastern New Delsta Highroad.
  2. Turn north as soon as possible.
  3. Keep heading north on the road until you spot a covered wagon, then turn east.
  4. Continue east and follow the road as it curves south and then east again.
  5. Cross the bridge, and you’ll see Arkar’s house.

Now that you’ve found the location of the Inventor job in Octopath Traveler 2, you just need to enter the house and speak with Arkar. He’ll make you his apprentice; after that, you can change any character to the Inventor job class.
