Minecraft Legends Deluxe Edition

Is Minecraft Legends Deluxe Edition Worth It?

Whether the Minecraft Legends Deluxe Edition is worth the extra cost will largely depend on your desires for skins. While the Standard Edition, which comes with the base game and a launcher, cost $39.99, the Deluxe Edition is priced at ten dollars more at $49.99 across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. That’s not that much more, but is there enough value in the Deluxe Edition to begin with?

Should you buy Minecraft Legends Deluxe Edition?

It’s probably not worth buying Minecraft Legends Deluxe Edition.

The only difference between the regular edition and the Deluxe Edition for the game is the Deluxe Skin Pack DLC. It includes one hero skin, four mount skins, and another mount skin when it becomes available, but the skins have no mechanical benefit. So unless you have a need to show off some extra costumes for your character and your steed that some other players will likely be using anyway, it’s hard to justify the extra $10.

Maybe if this Minecraft Legends Deluxe Edition came with early access, like Hogwarts Legacy, it would be worth it then. Otherwise, this just harkens back to the infamous horse armor DLC for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

If you really wish to get the Deluxe Skin Pack DLC, we recommend two things. First, you should wait until there are screenshots of all the skins available before making your purchase. And second, if you already have Xbox Game Pass (Minecraft Legends will available for it on Day One), you may want to look into getting the Deluxe Skin Pack DLC as a separate download if it’s offered.
