Hogwarts Legacy Patronus Charm: Can You Learn Expecto Patronum?

No, players can’t learn “Expecto Patronum” in Hogwarts Legacy. At the time of writing, the Patronus charm is not available in the new Harry Potter game. This is despite Helen Thistlewood using the charm in-game to summon a Rabbit Patronus to fight off the Dementors in an early Hufflepuff mission. Even those linking their Wizarding World accounts, which includes Patronus information, won’t be able to summon that creature.

Will players be able to summon a Patronus in Hogwarts Legacy?

Players will not be able to summon a Patronus in Hogwarts Legacy in the current build of the game. However, it’s possible that the “Expectro Patronum” charm will be added post-launch in an update.

As confirmed by @WBGamesSupport on Twitter, there is currently no way to summon a Patronus in Hogwarts Legacy and “there are no announced plans” to include the charm. Of course, this doesn’t completely rule it out, as there could be unannounced plans to include it.

As mentioned above, there is the potential for the Patronus to be added to Hogwarts Legacy later down the line.
