Hogwarts Legacy How to Open Locked Cabinets

Hogwarts Legacy: How to Open the Locked Cabinets and House Token Reward

You’ll find locked cabinets in Hogwarts Legacy with no apparent key nearby. However, these are part of an expansive side quest that has you locating Daedalian Keys to open the cabinets.

How to open the locked House Cabinets in Hogwarts Legacy

You can find the key to open the locked cabinets in Hogwarts Legacy flying around nearby. However, before they appear, you need to start the sidequest “The Daedalian Keys,” which becomes available shortly after you return from sneaking into the library’s restricted section.

Check here for the location of every key.

It’ll show you the process of finding the key to open the House Cabinets, which is:

  • Find a cabinet.
  • Look around and listen for the key nearby.
  • Once found, follow the key back to the cabinet.
  • Interact with the cabinets and slap the key when it’s flying over the keyhole.

There are 16 of these cabinets in Hogwarts Legacy, and each of them contains a House Token you can place in an ornate chest you’ll find in your House Common Room.

It can take a while to track them down. However, they’re all located inside Hogwarts, so that narrows it down a bit.

Once you have all 16 tokens, you can unlock the chest in your common room. The reward for completing this arduous side mission is a unique Relic House Uniform Appearance. It’s one of the coolest looking in the game, so it’s worth the effort to get it.
