Is Dumbledore in Hogwarts Legacy and How Old Would He Be?

Albus Dumbledore isn’t in Hogwarts Legacy. This is because the game takes place in 1890, while Dumbledore’s first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was in 1892. At this point, he’d only be around nine-years-old. So, you won’t see him around during your journey through the school and surrounding countryside.

Why isn’t Dumbledore in Hogwarts Legacy?

While Dumbledore is alive during the events of Hogwarts Legacy, he would only be nine-years-old. Since he was born in 1881, he wouldn’t be the right age to attend the school as a first-year yet.

Dumbledore, who would eventually become the headmaster of Hogwarts and a mentor to Harry Potter, joined the school as a first-year student in 1892. He later became known for his wise counsel, expertise in magic, and unwavering commitment to defeating the evil Lord Voldemort. However, when Hogwarts Legacy took place, he was an unknown.

Despite this absence, Hogwarts Legacy still has a few familiar names among its characters. You’ll meet the ancestors of several famous wizards, and there are a few easter eggs you won’t want to miss. So, while Dumbledore may not be in Hogwarts Legacy, the game provides a unique opportunity for fans of the Harry Potter universe to experience life at Hogwarts in a different era.
