Disney Dreamlight Valley Scar

Disney Dreamlight Valley Scar Release Window, Update Details

Disney Dreamlight Valley entered early access on September 6 and has been receiving minor bug fixes ever since. However, players are starting to wonder when new content is going to be added to the game. Developer Gameloft has revealed Lion King villain Scar will be part of the next content update, but when is the release date for that Disney Dreamlight Valley patch?

When will Scar be released in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Update: Scar will be released on October 19, 2022, as part of the first content update.

Original Story: On September 27, the team said the release would be approximately three weeks away, which would have put an approximate date at some point during the week beginning October 17. The date is different from the end date for the current Star Path, which is October 11.

While Scar will be the main attraction, the update also promises to continue the main storyline, improve Photo Mode, and add new avatar poses, as well as include more surprises. The team is also trying to work out fixes for priority issues like preventing progress loss, missing Founder’s Pack rewards, and console crashes. There is no more information on these issues yet, but the update will definitely include more than 40 fixes, some of which include:

  • PS4 optimizations
  • Lightning VFX
  • Quest: Unable to collect lightbulb
  • Quest: Items stuck in store’s counter
  • Switch audio distortion
  • Rain doesn’t water crops

After Content Update 1, the second update promises to include more new characters based on Toy Story, like Woody and Buzz. There will also be a new realm and, you guessed it, “more surprises”. This content update is due to be released later this fall but certainly before the end of the year. There are more free content updates to come in 2023 too, although whether this is before or after the game hits version 1.0 and becomes free-to-play remains to be seen.
