Star Wars fans are looking forward to watching the fifth episode of the new series Andor, but want to know exactly when they can watch episode 5 on Disney Plus now that the show has moved to a weekly release schedule. Andor takes place in the years leading up to the events of the Star Wars film Rogue One, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey from an unknown name, to a rebel hero. Following its three-episode launch and this week’s installment, here’s when you can catch Andor episode 5.
When is the Andor episode 5 release date and time?
Andor episode 5 is set to premiere on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. It will then follow a weekly release schedule, with one episode dropping each week for a total of 12 episodes. These are the release times around the world in different time zones:
- 12 a.m. Pacific Standard Time
- 2 a.m. Central Standard Time
- 3 a.m. Eastern Standard Time
- 8 a.m. British Summer Time
- 9 a.m. Central European Summer Time
- 12:30 p.m. Indian Standard Time
No breaks have been announced for the weekly releases, so the first season of Andor is expected to reach its conclusion towards the end of November. Production has already begun on season 2, which will conclude the series and be made up of 12 episodes. Episode 5 will be written by Dan Gilroy and directed by Susanna White, following their work on episode 4. The duo also worked together on episode 6.
So far, Andor has revealed some shocking truths about the titular hero’s origin story. He isn’t from the planet Fest as was told in Rogue One, but instead from a planet new to Star Wars fans called Kenari. Audiences discovered that he was taken from his home and away from his sister as a child, when a young Maarva and Clem Andor discovered him aboard a crashed Republic ship. Though Maarva took him with her to avoid his death at the hands of Republic soldiers, he is now spending his life searching for his long lost sibling.
