Dark Souls 3 Servers Down

Dark Souls 3 Servers Down for PC: Can’t Connect to Multiplayer on Steam

The Dark Souls 3 servers are down for PC again. The game went offline in January of this year after a major vulnerability was discovered, and FromSoftware restored multiplayer functionality just last month. Now, the game is seeing server issues again on Steam.

Are the Dark Souls 3 servers down on PC?

The Dark Souls 3 servers are down, but this time only the Steam version on PC seems to be affected. FromSoftware hasn’t revealed the cause of the issue, but it has acknowledged it’s investigating the source and promises more details will come.

Unfortunately, the game going offline again has shaken fan confidence in FromSoftware’s handling of its PC releases. This comes in the wake of DS3 multiplayer spending eight months offline because of a vulnerability in the game’s code.

Of course, fans are understandably disappointed that DS3 is once again single-player-only. A big part of the game’s appeal for many is the social aspects like messages, invasions, and co-op. Unfortunately, with those gone, the world is even bleaker than usual.

As of writing Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 multiplayer still haven’t come back online. Fortunately, the problem hasn’t affected Elden Ring, and you can still use all its multiplayer functionality without issues.
