Modern Warfare 2 Beta Not Gaining Levels: Is There a Max Level Cap?

If you notice you’re stuck at level 15 in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta, you’re not alone. There’s a max level cap during the first weekend, so it’s not a bug if you’re not gaining levels.

There’s a max level cap of 15 in the Modern Warfare 2 beta during the first weekend. The reason for this is so that those who participate in the PlayStation-only weekend don’t have an unfair advantage over players on other platforms when their beta periods start.

The confusing thing about the level cap is that your progression in the upper right corner of the home screen will say you’re at the correct level. However, when you go into the progression screen, it’ll tell you that you’re level 16. This makes it look like you haven’t received your rewards for that level, including the Lachman-556 assault rifle.

The max level cap for the next two beta periods will be 30. However, even if you’ve maxed your player level, you can still gain experience for your guns.

Unfortunately, none of the experience you gain in the beta will carry over to the full game. However, there are a few rewards for those who hit certain milestones.
