iPhone 14 vs. iPhone 14 Pro: Which One Should I Buy?

You’re not alone if you’re debating whether to buy an iPhone 14 vs. iPhone 14 Pro. The differences between the standard and Pro models of Apple’s latest phone are pretty subtle this year, and the possibility of saving a few hundred dollars is appealing. We’ll explore whether you should buy the iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Pro below.

The iPhone 14 is basically just an iPhone 13 Pro with a few enhancements. It uses the same A15 Bionic chip with one additional GPU core (for a total of 5) and better battery life. It also has the ability to send an Emergency SOS via satellite, but you’re going to be hard-pressed to find a ton of difference between it and the 13 Pro in both form and functionality otherwise.

The standard iPhone 14 is a good upgrade for those who don’t necessarily care to be on the cutting edge and want to save a bit of cash.

    • iPhone 14 Pro Max: Starts at $1,099

The notch is finally gone with the iPhone 14 Pro. It’s been replaced by the “island” which is the focal point for a new notification and interaction system that is exclusive to the Pro line. It also features a major camera upgrade compared to the 13 Pro. The main camera is now 48 MP (compared to 12 MP in the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14), and it has up to 6x optical zoom.

While at a glance, the iPhone 14 Pro doesn’t seem so different from the 13 Pro, there are some significant upgrades here. If you take a lot of pictures on your phone or are craving more battery life, it’s worth the extra money to pick this phone up.
