Rick and Morty season 6, episode 2 will be released on September 11, 2022. The new episode will be called “Rick: A Mort Well Lived”, and will broadcast at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Adult Swim. The season 6 premiere saw a direct follow-up for the shocking season 5 finale, allowing some loose ends to be tied up ahead of foundations being laid for an entirely new storyline.

Fans were also introduced to perhaps the biggest villain the series has ever seen; the man responsible for Rick’s current state. Voiced by Justin Roiland, it’s going to be very interesting to see just what role he plays moving forward. There will also surely be a whole flurry of B-plots taking place, to ensure the laughs keep coming.

What will happen in the next episode of Rick and Morty?

A short synopsis for the next episode of Rick and Morty has been revealed. It reads: “Morty is trapped and Rick needs to save him, but to do so, Summer must do a Die Hard. This won’t be easy because she’s never seen it.” The teaser above certainly proves that, as she seemingly stumbles into her first success of taking out an enemy. Exactly how the clumsy cast of characters is going to excel in their mission remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: it’s going to be a must-watch.

Rick and Morty continues Mondays at 11 p.m. on Adult Swim.
