There are a small number of secrets to unlock in Resident Evil 7. These provide incredible bonuses that make the game's many challenges much easier to handle. None of them are explained in the game, so we've decided to outline all of them.





Below are all the secret unlockables in Resident Evil 7.




Albert-01R Handgun





This powerful weapon deals more damage than the other available handguns. It is unlocked by completing the game on any difficulty.





Circular Saw





A powerful melee range weapon. It is obtained by completing the game in under four hours.





Dirty Coin





This item is used to unlock a small handful of boxes in the game. It is obtained by locating all ghosts in the free Resident Evil 7 demo.





Infinite Ammo





This allows you to use weapons without requiring ammunition. It is unlocked by completing the game on Madhouse difficulty.











Madhouse Difficulty





This is a very challenging difficulty that you can play on when starting a new game. It is unlocked either through a pre-order bonus or by completing the game on any difficulty.





The Essence of Defense





This item reduces the damage you take when guarding with a melee weapon. It is obtained by completing the game on Normal or higher difficulty.





The Secrets of Defense





This item reduces damage taken from enemies. It is obtained by completing the game on Normal or higher difficulty.





Walking Shoes





This item increases your movement speed. It is unlocked by finishing the game in under four hours.





X-Ray Glasses





This item significantly increases visibility. It is unlocked by finishing the game in under four hours.
