The max Power Level cap in Destiny 2 is currently 1,580. It last rose at the beginning of Season 18 (Season of Plunder) when it increased by ten.
The current power caps are:
- Max Power Cap: 1,580
- Powerful Cap: 1,570
- Soft Cap: 1,520
- Minimum: 1,350
Destiny 2 Season 18 Max Power Cap
The Season of Plunder brought a new max power cap of 1,580, up from 1,570 in Season of the Haunted. This cap marks the maximum power level you can obtain through your gear score. However, you can go even higher by leveling up your seasonal artifact. So it’s more of a “max” than a hard limit. To get here, you’ll need to go after Pinnacle Gear after reaching 1,570.
Season 18 Powerful Cap
The powerful cap also increased by 10 this season from 1,510 to 1,520. Getting here requires you to hit 1,520 and then go for Powerful or Pinnacle Gear. This is the point where the grind starts.
Season 18 Soft Cap
The soft cap also raised by 10 in Season of Plunder from 1,510 to 1,520. So you should already be pretty much here by the time you’ve finished The Witch Queen campaign. If not, just collect gear from anywhere until you hit the soft cap.
Destiny 2 Minimum Power Level Cap
One cap that hasn’t changed is the minimum power level for Destiny 2. This last increased when The Witch Queen expansion was released and rose from 1,330 to 1,350.
