The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer beta will begin next month, but while there are weekends where all players can try out the game, the beta will give early access to some players before general access begins. How can I get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer early access?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer early access begins at 10 AM PT on September 16, but only for PS5 and PS4 players. Players can get access to the multiplayer beta on this weekend in one of two ways:
- Pre-order the game on PS5 or PS4 either through the PlayStation Store or participating retailers.
- Redeem an early access code.
- Early access codes will be given out during the Call of Duty: Next show on September 15. There may be other opportunities through the official Call of Duty social media accounts or participating content creator streams that have not been announced too.
The multiplayer beta will be accessible for all PS5 and PS4 players on September 18 and will run until September 20. The beta will then take a break before returning at 10 AM PT on September 22 for another early access period. Players can get access to this early access period in one of three ways:
- Download the open beta on PS5 or PS4
- Pre-order the game on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, or Battle.net either digitally or through participating retailers.
- Redeem an early access code.
- Early access codes will be given out during the Call of Duty: Next show on September 15. There may be other opportunities through the official Call of Duty social media accounts or participating content creator streams that have not been announced too.
Finally, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer open beta will be available between September 24-26 for all players on all platforms.
