MultiVersus Voice Chat Update: Is Game Chat Being Added?

When you’re playing a 2v2 match in MultiVersus, it would be really useful if you could communicate with your teammate. The best way of doing that, of course, is to use voice chat or game chat to coordinate your attacks or maybe even to trash talk your opponent after the match, but this feature is currently missing from the game. Here’s everything we know about voice chat or game chat being added to MultiVersus at a later date in an update.

When will voice chat be added to MultiVersus?

MultiVersus Voice Game Chat

There are currently no plans to add voice chat or game chat to MultiVersus. However, the game has only just entered the beta phase and will remain in open beta for several months. There is every chance voice chat or another form of game chat will be added to the game in the future. The next major update is likely to arrive for the start of Season 1, although this has now been delayed from August 9 to an unspecified date in the future. While we know that ranked mode will be included in that update, there has been no mention of voice chat so far.

If players want to communicate with their teammates using voice chat, they will need to use third-party methods like an Xbox Live party or PlayStation Network party. However, if using cross-platform matchmaking there is every chance your teammate may not be on the same platform. If this is the case, only apps like Discord will solve the problem. The MultiVersus Discord channel is a great place to start, although you’ll need to verify your phone number and agree to the server’s rules to be able to send messages in the server. For in-game communication, players currently have to resort to emotes, taunts, or emojis.
