The One Piece episode 1029 release date and time have been uncovered for the Japanese language with English subtitles on Crunchyroll. While Funimation and Crunchyroll are under the same Sony umbrella, it looks as though Funimation will continue to handle the English dubbing for the foreseeable future. At the moment, we know that the title for episode 1029 will be “Red Hair Daughter!”. It’s unclear who will be in charge of directing or writing the episode at this time, but at least we know when it’s going to be broadcast.

For a recap of Episode 1027, in case people haven’t watched the latest episode yet, we see the outcome of Big Mama being sent tumbling into the sea. There was a lot of filler in spots throughout the episode, but at the very least it’s clear that Big Mama survived. It took awhile for Prometheus and Napoleon to reach her, while Zeus was trapped in a metal box. Even split apart from Big Mama, though, Kaido was able to deal a heavy blow to Luffy and seemingly took him out. Zoro did the best he could, using an Asura Nine-Swords Style technique that deeply cut Kaido’s chest that will leave a heavy scar. Zoro and Law were unfortunately taken out in retaliation, their energy pretty much drained at this point, but that allowed Luffy to recover and make a last stand for the next episode.

While the English dubbing for this episode will arrive eventually, it’s too far out to give an exact release date. Those following this dubbing will know that Funimation is in the midst of releasing them in batches. The last update still only has the last English episode as episode 818.
