General Tips

  • There are multiple control schemes available, so learn which ones work best for you. The Pro control schemes are for those who have been playing racing games for a long time, perhaps on consoles. You'll have more control over your acceleration, and you may need to feather the throttle. Otherwise, go with one of the easier settings and focus on your steering and such until you get the practice that will allow you to enjoy a more realistic racing experience.
  • If your opponents are ahead of you, it can be tempting to try to pass them immediately, but play the long game and you'll make fewer mistakes. Corners are usually your best opportunity to gain on them, since you can brake more carefully and also out accelerate them when coming out of a curve.
  • As you race around the course, pay close attention to the provided racing line and its color. If you are approaching a corner and the line is flashing red, that means that you should be slowing down to pull through the corner without wiping out on it. Then when you see it turn green, apply throttle to pull through it.
