For some reason this anime broadcasts earlier in some regions than others, despite the fact that it has English subtitles. We’re not sure why Netflix has decided to have a mixed release schedule when other anime streaming services like Crunchyroll can simulcast easily, but that’s how it is.
Following the trend of isekai animes with a twist, Uncle From Another World features an older man who returns to the real world after being sent into a coma when a truck hit him seventeen years ago. The parallel fantasy world he was sent to, however, wasn’t pleasant. Even though he saved many people with his magical abilities, they thought he was a monster because he looked ugly. Luckily, he retained his magical abilities in the real world and his nephew is helping him use it for revenue on sites like YouTube.

Episode 3 should release on August 3, 2022 on Netflix in North America and other international regions outside of Japan and other Asian territories (noted later). This is based on the first episode scheduled to air on July 20, 2022 here in the States. Here are the release times for the episode in various timezones:

- 1:00 PM BT (August 3)
We’re not sure what languages and subtitles will be available, but it should at least be available in the original Japanese dubbing with English subtitles.

Episode 3 will release on July 20, 2022 on Netflix in Japan, Korea, South Asia, and Southeast Asia (according to this Reddit thread). The release times are reportedly the same as above. There should be English subtitles available in some of these regions like Netflix India, but we’re not clear on the extent of it quite yet. Given that we have seen fansubs of the first episode, the anime in Netflix Japan may not have English subtitles.
