Where to Watch Cartoon Network Shows From the 2000s

It’s no surprise that people are trying to find where to watch Cartoon Network shows from the 2000s. It was a special time for the network. Dexter’s Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Samurai Jack, Codename: Kids Next Door, Camp Lazlo, and others are full of nostalgia for people who came of age at the dawn of the new millennium. Unfortunately, steaming those Cartoon Network classics hasn’t always been easy.

Much of Cartoon Network’s original programming is available on HBO Max, but not all of it. Some of the omissions are odd. For example, you can watch all six seasons of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, but not Grim & Evil or Evil Con Carne. Some shows are strangely categorized as well. Samurai Jack is filed under Adult Swim even though the first four seasons were part of Cartoon Network’s programming block.

Some fan-favorite Cartoon Network shows from the 2000s aren’t even available to stream. Johnny Bravo and Cow and Chicken, for example, have to be purchased outright from Apple iTunes, Google Play Store, or Amazon if you want to watch them. Some other shows can only be found in the official Cartoon Network and Adult Swim apps, and you have to have a cable subscription to access them.

Things get even more complicated if you’re looking for something other than Cartoon Network’s original programming. Many of us grew up watching Warner Bros., MGM, and Hanna-Barbera classics in the 2000s, and a lot of these have moved to Boomerang, which is an entirely separate streaming service to HBO Max. Others are completely unavailable to purchase or stream digitally and can only be had on physical media or bootlegs. There are even a few pieces of media that are currently lost to the general public.

Basically, programming shown on Cartoon Network in the 2000s is scattered here and there. Again, most of it can be found on HBO Max, but for some of it, you’ll have to look elsewhere.
