Upcoming PS5 Games: PlayStation 5 2022 Release Calendar

The upcoming PS5 games in are more numerous for 2022 than they were for the console’s first year. The PS5 release calendar is jam-packed with titles ranging from AAAs to indies. Those who have managed to grab the console (since supply issues are still ongoing) have a lot to look forward to as the year continues.

One thing to note is that this list continues native PS5 releases only. Keep in mind that this console is backward compatible with the PS4. So, any last-gen games that come out can be enjoyed on the PS5 as well.

April 2022 PS5 Releases

The rest of April doesn’t contain any major upcoming PS5 games. However, there are expansions for Back 4 Blood and Hot Wheels Unleashed that will spice up those games.

Disgaea 6 Complete finally makes its way to the PS5 after debuting on the Switch almost a year ago. Elder Scrolls Online fans can rejoice in June thanks to a new expansion. We also get to see if Supermassive’s new horror game, The Quarry, lives up to the lofty heights set up Until Dawn.

July 2022 PS5 Releases

July is a barren month for the PS5 so far. However, we’d bet money on at least a few exciting upcoming PS5 games getting July release date announcements in the coming months.

July 5: Yurukill: The Calumniation Games

August 2022 PS5 Releases

In August, we’ll find out if the Saints Row reboot can undo the damage Agents of Mayhem did to Volition’s reputation. We’ll also get Soul Hackers 2, which is surprising given that the original came out in 1997.

September 2022 PS5 Releases

September is another lean month so far, but there’s plenty of time for more releases to be announced.

October 2022 PS5 Releases

October brings us two big AAA releases. Forspoken is an excellent chance for Square Enix to get back on the ball after the disastrous release of Babylon’s Fall. We’ll also get an opportunity to finally play Gotham Knights, the spiritual successor to the Batman: Arkham series.

November 2022 PS5 Releases

November and December 2022 are still fairly devoid of releases. However, that’s not unusual, and we’ll likely start to see the calendar fill out by mid-year.

The upcoming PS5 games below have been announced as releasing at some point in 2022. As they get concrete release dates, we’ll be moving them up to their proper place in the calendar.
