Elden Ring Flying Horse Glitch: How To Make Torrent Fly

Elden Ring is full of areas that are inaccessible to players unless certain requirements are met and speedrunners are always looking for a way to get around this. The latest Elden Ring speedrunning trick to be discovered is to make Torrent fly through a glitch that turns him into a flying horse once he has been summoned. This means players then have access to the entire map whether they’re playing on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, or Xbox One.

How to make Torrent fly in Elden Ring

Elden Ring Flying Horse

To get a flying horse in Elden Ring, players must head to one of two locations where they can ride uphill where the death plane is directly underneath. The first is the northwest ledge at the Bestial Sanctum, while the second is a ledge just outside of Volcano Manor. Once there, players must:

  • Slowly ride off the edge of the ledge.
  • Before falling completely off the ledge, spin around so Torrent is now facing upwards and is riding up the edge of the ledge. Because of the angle, he will seemingly be running on the spot.
  • Repeatedly press L3 to jump off the horse just before falling off the ledge. Torrent will still fall into the death plane but you won’t.
  • Get to a safe spot on the ledge and summon Torrent. This will cause a Flask of Crimson Tears animation but Torrent won’t actually spawn.
  • Summon Torrent again. This time he will spawn and will be flying in the air.

The glitch is incredibly difficult to pull off and will take a lot of practice before you can pull it off consistently. However, players are now hoping this will be another glitch that will help them get back to the sub-30 minute speedruns possible before update 1.03.
