Elden Ring Alexander Warrior Jar Locations Innards Use

Elden Ring Alexander the Jar Warrior Questline Locations: What Can You Do With Alexander’s Innards?

One of the few genuinely kind NPCs in Elden Ring is Alexander the Jar Warrior. Early on in the game, players can find a large Living Jar stuck in the ground that calls himself Iron Fist Alexander. His story doesn’t end there, though. He can be found in several locations throughout the game. Following this questline will net players a key item called Alexander’s Innards which doesn’t have any apparent use.

Here’s every location that the pot man appears during his questline and some theories about what Alexander’s Innards are for.

Elden Ring Alexander Questline Locations

Alexander’s first encounter in Elden Ring isn’t tough to find, but he becomes increasingly elusive in later meetings.

First Location: Stormhill, Limgrave

Elden Ring Alexander First Location

The first meeting with Alexander is easy to find. Players will hear him calling out for help. They’ll find him stuck in a hole, and he’ll ask for a solid smack to knock him out of it. Do so, and speak with him to get a reward.

Second Location: Gael Tunnel, Between Caelid and Limgrave

Elden Ring Alexander Second Location

The next meeting takes place in a tunnel connecting Caelid and Limgrave. He’ll be chilling out past a door, and he tells players he’s going to Redmane Castle for a competition there.

Third Location: Redmane Castle, Caelid

Elden Ring Alexander Third Location

Alexander has made it to Redmane Castle and wants to partake in the festivities there. Even if players haven’t met him yet, he’ll still be here. So, this might be the first location for Alexander for some people.

Fourth Location: Starscourge Radahn Site of Grace, Caelid

Elden Ring Alexander Fourth Location

If players return to the Starscourge Radahn Site of Grace, they’ll find Alexander distraught. He was cracked in the fight with Radahn and is scooping the remains of soldiers into himself in the hopes of getting stronger.

Fifth Location: South of Carian Study Hall, Liurnia of the Lakes

Elden Ring Alexander fifth Location

Alexander has once again got himself stuck in a hole on his way to visit his home village south of Carian Study Hall. This time players will need to coat him with an Oil Pot to make him slippery enough to slide out. To get an Oil Pot, players need to find the merchant in Siofra River and purchase the Nomadic Warrior’s Cookbook (17). Once players have the recipe, they can craft it using a single Melted Mushroom.

Sixth Location: Lava Lake near Fort Laiedd, Mt. Gelmir

Elden Ring Alexander Sixth Location

This time, Alexander is hoping to harden his skin by heating himself in lava. Unfortunately, before players can get to him, they’ll need to face a Magma Wyrm. Afterward, he can be found near a rock jutting from the lava near a cliff face. Fortunately, he’s not stuck this time, so players will only have to spend a bit of time in lava to make this meeting.

Seventh Location: Forge of the Giants, Mountaintop of the Giants

If players have found Alexander at his previous locations, they have the option to summon him to help during the Fire Giant boss fight.

Eighth Location: Near the Dragon Temple Lift Site of Grace, Crumbling Farum Azula

Elden Ring Alexander Seventh Location

If players ride the Dragon Temple Lift, they’ll reach an area where they can find Alexander if they stick to the right. He lets players know how much he respects their strength and asks them to duel him. He’s not too tough, and he appreciates the player giving him an honorable death. Players are rewarded with Alexander’s Innards and a Shard of Alexander for defeating him.

What do you do with Alexander’s Innards in Elden Ring?

Elden Ring Alexander Innards

The first major patch to Elden Ring has restored an NPC that the player can give Alexander’s Innards. Alexander’s nephew Jar-Bairn now appears in Jarburg, and the item is required to complete his questline.
