Players will find the Grand Lift of Dectus blocking their way in Elden Ring as they try to move from Liurnia to the Altus Plateau. To activate this big elevator, players will need to find the right and left halves of the Dectus Medallion. Without it, the lift just won’t move.
Where are the right and left half of the Dectus Medallion in Elden Ring?
The left half of the Dectus Medallion is in Fort Haight, in Limgrave. This is likely the first half players will run into in Elden Ring, and those who are exploring the Lands Between thoroughly will probably find it before they spot the lift itself.
The right half of the Dectus Medallion is in Fort Faroth in Caelid. Unlike the other left half, this is not an easy area to deal with.
Dectus Medallion Left Half Location
Fort Haight can be found in the Mistwood almost due east of the lake in the center of Limgrave. The fort is an easy conquest, even early on in the game. Players have to contend with some demi-humans, Godrick’s soldiers, and a few knights. Once the enemies are cleared out, they can find the left half of the Dectus Medallion in the upper part of the fort in a chest.
Dectus Medallion Right Half Location
Fort Faroth is east of Sellia, and north of Castle Redmane, and features a much more difficult set of enemies than Fort Haight. Bats and their Harpy kin make their den on the first floor. The right half of the Dectus Medallion is in a walled area that players will see as they enter the fort. Players could bust into that area by hitting the wall in the right place and grab the medallion half. However, there’s a good chance that will aggro the enemies and put players in a tough position.
How to activate the Grand Lift of Dectus in Elden Ring
Once players have the two halves of the Dectus Medallion, they can walk into the center of the lift and press the interact button when the prompt appears. The lift will then raise and take them to Altus Plateau. Of curse, players could just bypass the lift by going through the ravine and climbing the path there. However, taking the elevator does skip a boss, which might appeal to those having trouble defeating it.
