Elden Ring How to Upgrade Flask

Elden Ring: How to Get More Sacred Flask Charges and Increase Amount Restored

The Sacred Flask is a player’s lifeline in Elden Ring. It’s used to restore both health and magic, and increasing its utility should be a major goal of every player. Fortunately, there is a way to add charges to the flask and increase how much it restores.

How to get more Sacred Flask charges in Elden Ring

Elden Ring Golden Seed

To increase the number of times a player can use the Sacred Flask, they need to find Golden Seeds. By spending these at a Site of Grace, players can increase the amount of times they can use their flask before recharging it. These are harder to find than the material needed to upgrade weapons and ashes, and can’t be farmed from enemies.

The lore for these is:

“When the Elden Ring was shattered, these seeds flew from the Erdtree, scattering across the various lands, as if life itself knew that its end had come.”

Players can find golden Seeds at the base of small golden trees. These can be found throughout the game, but are fairly rare. There’s not a lot of rhyme or reason as to their distribution, so players should keep an eye out for them wherever they go.

Players will only need one Golden Seed to increase their flask charges at the start of the game. However, it will take progressively more of them to upgrade it each time.

Elden Ring Sacred Tear

To increase the Sacred Flask’s potency in Elden Ring, they need to find Sacred Tears. These can be used at a Site of Grace to increase the amount of health or magic each charge of the flask restores.

The in-game lore reads:

“During the age of the Erdtree, these tears were used to spread the faith, for theirs was once a certain blessing.”

Sacred Tears are a bit rarer than Golden Seeds. However, those who seek them can narrow their search to a particular location. Players can find Sacred Tears primarily in the various ruined churches scattered throughout the Lands Between.
