The cinematic adaptation of Sony’s popular action-adventure series is out on February 18 in the US and countries such as the UK now, but a lot of fans who don’t want to go to a theater want to know when the Uncharted movie is streaming, and where. Will the Uncharted movie be on HBO Max or Disney Plus? How about Netflix or Amazon Prime?
What is the Uncharted movie streaming release date?
The Uncharted movie will likely start streaming around April 4 on Netflix, or 45 days after the movie’s US theatrical release date on February 18, with a Disney Plus release likely a few months later. At the moment, however, no specific dates regarding the Uncharted movie’s streaming release have been announced so this is only an estimate. When Uncharted comes out in February it will be exclusively a theatrical release in all countries.
Last year, Sony Pictures signed a deal with both Netflix and Disney Plus to put the studio’s movie slate from 2022 to 2026 on the popular streaming services. The agreement is that Netflix will have first rights to Sony’s movies first and then Disney Plus will get them after they have completed their run on Netflix. This does not include the other recent Tom Holland movie Spider-Man: No Way Home, as that launched in 2021 and so will go to Starz first instead, but Uncharted is included.
Therefore, Uncharted will launch on Netflix first in around two months and then go to Disney Plus later in the year. Uncharted will not stream on HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Starz, Paramount Plus, or any other streaming services — at least, not in the US, although things may be different in other countries.
