Dying Light 2 Network Disconnected Error

Dying Light 2 Network Disconnected Error: Multiplayer Co-op Not Connecting

Some players are receiving a Network Disconnected error when trying to play multiplayer co-op in Dying Light 2. This issue is preventing players from playing with other people. As a result, many players’ first day with the game is turning from fun to frustrating. We’ll take a look at what’s causing the Network Disconnected error in Dying Light 2 and any possible fixes below.

Can you fix the Network Disconnected error in Dying Light 2?

Dying Light 2 Network Disconnected Error Fix

A fix is on the way for the Network Disconnected error in Dying Light 2, but it’s not available as of writing. Like with many games, it’s seeing a large influx of players on launch day, which is putting strain on Techland’s servers. As a result, players can’t connect to each other to play multiplayer.

Dying Light 2’s multiplayer is almost certainly peer-to-peer, which means this issue should be easier to fix. The game isn’t being hosted on any dedicated servers, so it should require less work to get the issue sorted. Unfortunately, that means that players will be left frustrated until Techland can get it figured out.

The Network Disconnected error may be a bug, in which case the wait might be longer. It’s possible that Techland will have to issue a hotfix or patch to fix it if that’s the case. The devs have acknowledged that they know about the issue and are working to solve the problem as soon as possible.

Fortunately, the error doesn’t seem to affect single-player gameplay. The game has drop-in co-op, so progress should be unaffected. That means that if two people play the game for roughly the same amount of time, they should be ready to team up by the time the Network Disconnected error is fixed. It takes a little while to unlock multiplayer anyway, so those just starting out might find that the issue is gone by the time they’re ready to play co-op.
