The eighth part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, JoJolion, ended in August 2021 after a 10-year run. Already, fans are eager to know the release date for The JOJOLands, which will continue the story of the Steel Ball Run universe. We’ll take a look at when the next JoJo manga will be launching below.
When will the JoJolands manga come out?
The JOJOLands manga will be released on Friday, February 17, 2023 in Japan. There is no current release date set for the manga series in English. We also do not have any clarification on how long the series will be going on for. So, we only have past manga release schedules to hypothesize about how long this ninth part will run. Let’s look at the dates of each manga’s run below:
- Phantom Blood: December 1986 – October 1987
- Battle Tendency: November 1987 – March 1989
- Stardust Crusaders: March 1989 – April 1992
- Vento Aureo: December 1995 – April 1999
- Stone Ocean: December 1999 – April 2003
- Steel Ball Run: January 2004 – April 2011
- JoJolion: May 2011 – August 2021
Steel Ball Run was serialized from March 19, 2005, to April 19, 2011. At the time, this was the longest run for a JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series. That was overtaken by JoJolion, however, which went on for over a decade. After the longest wait between parts, totaling 18 months between parts 8 and 9, it may be the case that The JOJOLands will run for even longer than the 10 years set by its predecessor.
No major details have been released about JoJolands as of writing. It’ll be the third part set in the Steel Ball Run universe and maybe the conclusion of this part of the story (if not the franchise itself). What we do know, is that it will be focusing on a descendant of Joseph Joestar, who is said to come into some fortune on subtropical islands.
