Myth of Empires is a surprise smash hit on PC (Steam). As a result, gamers are hoping that console ports are on the way. But, is there a Myth of Empires PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, and OLED model release date? Here’s the latest on this multiplayer sandbox game coming to the PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch platforms.
Is a Myth of Empires PlayStation version coming out? (PS5, PS4)
Myth of Empires is available via Steam Early Access on PC as of its November 18, 2021 release date. There isn’t a Myth of Empires PlayStation port for Sony’s PS5 and PS4 consoles.
Myth of Empires is an early access product, which means it’s still in initial development. Once the game is complete, it’s possible that the developer will shift its focus towards producing console versions. Whether or not this happens will depend on many variable factors, though the game’s early success is a promising first sign.
Is a Myth of Empires Xbox version coming out?
Myth of Empires is a PC exclusive that came out on November 18, 2021. There are no Myth of Empires Xbox Series X, Series S, and Xbox One port release dates.
The Xbox platform has its own early access program, Game Preview, which could accommodate the current Myth of Empires build. That said, the developer isn’t currently working on console versions — at least, not to public knowledge. While there feasibly could be an Xbox version at any point in the future, right now, there’s little to suggest it might happen.
Is a Myth of Empires Nintendo Switch version coming out?
Nintendo Switch fans can play Myth of Empires on PC following its November 18, 2021 launch. Dedicated Myth of Empires Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, and OLED model versions are not available for purchase.
The Switch most likely wouldn’t be able to run Myth of Empires natively, though streaming could enable an eventual launch on the hybrid Nintendo handheld. That said, there’s still no indication of a Myth of Empires: Cloud Version being on the horizon.
In other news, Cowboy Bebop and Call of Duty: Vanguard both fall short of expectations.
