When will the first Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition patch come out? Following its launch earlier this month, Rockstar’s remaster of the classic GTA games has suffered from performance issues and graphical problems. Fans are greatly anticipating the GTA Trilogy patch release date, so they know when the game will turn the corner. We’ve collated all the information we have so far on the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition patch. That includes its potential release date, as well as what it might fix.
When is the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition patch release date?
At the time of writing, there is no release date for the first GTA Trilogy patch. In fact, Rockstar is playing very coy, with little detail on when we can expect changes.
While we don’t have a release date for the GTA Trilogy patch yet, Rockstar has promised fixes to come. In a tweet posted after the game’s Rockstar Launcher outage ended, they promise to “improve and update overall performance as we move forward.” Sadly, this didn’t come with a projected patch release date. As such, we’ll have to sit tight and wait for more updates.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is again available through the Rockstar Games Launcher for play and purchase. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and are working to improve and update overall performance as we move forward: https://t.co/hAfEKqYS3o

What will the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy patch fix?
Since Rockstar hasn’t confirmed when to expect the patch, it’s hard to predict what it’ll contain. However, you can imagine that a lot of high-profile bugs will be sorted.
The weather effects are notoriously troublesome, with the rain animations making the game hard to see clearly. As such, the rain and storms will likely be fixed in the upcoming patch. Equally, don’t be surprised to see tweaks to the frame rate and character models, which have equally been criticized since the game’s launch.
The more I see of the GTA Trilogy the more I understand why Rockstar took down the fan remaster mods.
Yikes..
Even just playing the first 3 hours had some characters looking really bad. As I said, game ranges from like a 4 to 7 in quality, while the original is consistently a 6. pic.twitter.com/KUYj1EvMJe— DarkViperAU (@DarkViperAU) November 11, 2021
