Is there any way to get a Forza Horizon 5 custom music playlist in the latest Forza racing game, just like how in previous titles there was an integrated Groove music option or the ability to put music files in a folder? Is there any sort of Forza Horizon 5 custom soundtrack option or way to play Spotify or some other music option in the game? Or, are players stuck with the normal soundtrack and no Forza Horizon 5 custom playlist?
How to add Forza Horizon 5 custom music
To add custom music to Forza Horizon 5, players must do the following:
- Make a playlist in Spotify
- Download the Spotify app on Xbox
- Play the playlist while enjoying the game.
- Turn off the in-game soundtrack.
Sadly, there is no way to upload a custom soundtrack for use in Forza Horizon 5 or integrate a music service like Spotify for use directly with the game.
With Forza Horizon 3, Microsoft and Playground Games had an integrated Groove Music option which allowed players to put custom music in a specific folder and play it as a user-made radio station within the game. However, when Groove Music was shut down in 2017 this feature was pulled from Forza Horizon 3 and there have been no custom playlist options in Forza games ever since, which is a shame — there are a lot of great custom options in the latest Forza game, but having a user-made soundtrack isn’t one of them, unfortunately.
As mentioned, the only way to have the player’s own music playing in Forza Horizon 5 now is to turn off the game’s soundtrack and play music externally on a service like Spotify.
Our reviewer really loved Forza Horizon 5, saying that it “makes a strong case for best racing game ever.” Check out the review right here.
